This set of Inline Adapters for Screw On Filters turns your Sawyer screw on/off filter into an inline filtration system for your hydration pack with this simple accessory. Just screw the connections onto the each side of Sawyer Squeeze filter and insert the filter inline into your hydration pack drink tube (sold separately). With the filter installed this way, you can fill your reservoir with dirty water and drink safe water from the tube. When you don’t need to filter water, unscrew the connections from the filter and simply screw them together to reconnect the tube — just remember to thoroughly clean a dirty reservoir before drinking from it without your Sawyer Filter. Designed for use with industry standard 1/4-inch inner diameter tubing, it’s compatible with the Sawyer Squeeze Filter. The Aquatic Life twist-in 100 gpd 4-stage reverse osmosis deionization system is a very compact water purification solution that efficiently combines reverse osmosis and deionization technology with our quick and easy to change twist-in replacement filter cartridges. The new twist-in media cartridge design makes filter changes simple, easy and clean – no tools required and no mess! the twist-in cartridges can be easily changed in seconds with just a quarter turn and without contact with used filter material, and the supply water to the unit does not have to be turned off to replace any cartridge. Stage 1 – sediment filter: replace every 6 months. The First stage of your reverse osmosis deionization unit is a 5-micron sediment filter that traps sediment and other particulate matter like dirt, silt and rust which will affect the taste and appearance of your water. Stage 2 – carbon block filter: replace every 6 months. The second stage of your reverse osmosis deionization unit is a carbon block filter. The Activated carbon in the filter reduces chlorine by 99% and conditions the water prior to the membrane. Stage 3 – membrane: replace every 1-2 years. The reverse osmosis membrane reduces impurities known as total dissolved solids from the water down to 1/10,000 of a micron, reducing arsenic, lead, parasitic cysts, COPPER and more. Stage 4 – color changing mixed bed resin: replace filter when resin changes color to amber. After the water is filtered by the membrane, there is usually a small amount of total dissolved solids left in the water. In certain non-drinking water applications it is important to remove the remaining tds from the water. This is accomplished by filtering the water through a resin that is charged with cation and anion resins (H+ and oh-). as the resin absorbs the tds it will change color. The Smart Buddie booster pump is quiet, easy to install, and can significantly increase water output. Reverse osmosis is a pressure-driven process. Small residential RO units will theoretically operate on very low pressure–down to 35 psi–but the reality is you won’t get a lot of water and the product water quality may be compromised if the unit runs below 45 psi. RO units typically run well on municipal water pressure of 60 psi, but they run even better with a small pump to boost the pressure to 80 psi or higher. The increased pressure will also improve the economy of the unit (it will run less reject water) as well as the quality of the water. RO units thrive on pressure! Features: The high pressure switch turns off the booster pump if the filtered water pressure is greater than 33.35 PSI, prolonging the life of the pump. Buddie Fit press-fittings make it easy to plumb tubing into the existing RO system – The sealed pressure pump is low-voltage and powered by the included transformer, which ensures safe, quiet operation. RO units thrive on pressure – The Smart Buddie Booster Pump includes an internal automatic flush valve that flushes the membrane for 18 seconds every time the unit is activated. Flushing clears debris build-up on the membrane, and is critical to obtaining peak performance from the RO unit. After flushing filtered water production will begin – Low pressure switch turns off the booster pump if water pressure is less than 7.25 PSI, extending the life of the pump.
